I often think that we are the first intelligent civilization to ascend to be space faring. After all, wouldn't we have been visited or had a calling card?

I was thinking that I may still be taken to the Pearly Gates yet as an atheist, but instead of begging St Peter if I can enter, I will be asking a rep of the Thonz that reached Enlightenment over 900,000,000 years ago.

There might have been a calling card but when we lived in caves we probably couldn't read, stuck it on the mantle piece and forgot all about it 😏

I was thinking when our great great great grandpapa Bacteria was in his heyday or when great great grandmama tadpole was still swimming the seas. In more recent times, either the young guns make a real song and dance about it or as you say, totally forget that they are coming.
