Yes Denise I do remember that - I took my son to school he would have been nearly five, he'd just started.............now I don't have my son and would give my right arm to be taking him again,
denise Sorry don’t remember the day.
Blimey I can understand your shock at finding out you were pregnant after 7 months. Didn’t leave a lot of time for you to prepare 😁
As a Beatles fan, I'm surprised that I don't remember the day, but I do remember exactly where I was when I heard about 9/11. We were on the way to a holiday cottage in North Yorkshire and got stuck in a queue on the motorway. The person in the next car indicated to wind down our window and said 'have you got the news on'. We then listened to the tragedy unfold over the next few hours and when we arrived at the destination just watched the news for another few hours.
Yeah I remember 9/11. I didn't realise what I was seeing was real. I thought it was advertising for a film. It was one of those things you just kept watching. We lived not far from Bristol airport and each time a plane went over there was this horrible feeling. I don't know how I would have coped living in Stevenage because it wasn't far from Stansted or Luton.
when i can think of something profound i will update this.
It's like the horror of the day and the day imprints itself in your head. I remember aberfan I was off school sick. Funny but 9/11 I was off work sick. Like something was warning me. 😕
