Not going to have happy memories about this one
I'm trying to do some things today. Was going to make sausage tools but have bought the wrong pastry - round not rectangle. My baking trays are on the top shelf about 6ft up. They all fell down. Yorkshire pudding trays the lot. Just missed my head. Then my roll of baking paper fell off the bench and unrolled itself. 😲😐😕

No I can imagine. I'd have thrown your dad and the tramp out. That's the trouble with drunks they think everyone is wonderful. 😐 but not their long suffering family. 😙

Denise, I thought that I answered your question a couple of days ago but I can’t see it so I’ll answer it again:

Our genes are a mix of our father and mothers and with us from embryonic stage. Any faulty gene would have been there from the beginning, like my C9ORF72. Other things may be necessary for the faulty gene to express itself, but viruses are a different thing altogether. I’ve never heard of one related to MND. But the jury is out on what in the environment may act on or with genes to cause the common MND variant happening.

Amongst other things, we bought our neice's and nephew's children a garden bird feeder and some seed. Don't think many children will have received bird feeders. I was a keen birdwatcher, but can't hold the binoculars up any more. Still love watching them in the garden though. We've had 25 different species of birds land in the garden since moving here two years ago.

Gary that's a lovely idea. I have always fed the birds. I leave the fruit on the trees and my garden is full of birds. I have wood peckers eating my oranges. Rats have a delightful way of eating the inside and leaving the skin. It just looks like an orange but they are empty! My mum used to have a garden full. Every time we opened the back door they would all swoop down. Sometimes wearing a hard hat was the only way to go into the garden. My nan used to buy bags of pearl barley until the supermarket girls asked what she did with it all - feed the pigeons.
I feed anything! I can't stand to think something could be hungry ☺

I think its a lovely hobby. I need to find my identification book before all my fruit has gone. I was never much good with the binoculars because by the time I'd sorted the focus they had gone.

I’ve registered for garden watch so I’m looking forward to counting the species. Denise mentioned strange Christmas presents. I bought Sue an owl which is carved from a log with a chain saw. It will stand in the garden once she has oiled it and I promise not to count it as a visitor when I do garden watch.
