    First Movie

Strange what pops into our heads for no apparent reason. Today it was the first movie I took Ann to see way back when we were 16. The romantic in me took the day off because it was Zulu.
Who can remember the first movie they saw with their partner.

Disney's robin hood. Went for a meal before hand. I was 16 my boyfriend 21. I ordered chicken, chips and sweet corn. I nearly died when corn on the cob turned up. I had never eaten out before, well not in a fairly nice London resturant, being of the age when just having a hair out of place was embarrassing. So sitting opposite my new boyfriend and having to eat corn on the cob was a real dilemma. I tried with knife a fork but most ended up on the floor! I will never forget how I felt. πŸ˜‰

Things that pop into your head. Going to the pictures with my mum. Planned to see the virgin soldiers. Fell up the stairs - both of us. The film had already started then realised we were in the wrong cinema it was 2001:a space odyssey. We had missed the beginning and had no idea what was going on!

When the cinema lights went off then it was really dark. Not like now with the subtle lighting. Trying to get my mum back on her feet was terrible. She couldn't stop laughing. We practically crawled up the stairs. I was laughing as quietly as possible. It was so dark. Trying hard not to laugh then trying to find a seat without disturbing anyone more than we had already.

Gordon I thought it good when I saw it a few years ago but miss the beginning and it's rather odd.
