.... How people with voices yearn for a social media platform to communicate with one another using text for example WhatsApp, telegram, signal, facebook, Instagram... Then you lose your voice and yearn to communicate with voice instead of text....

I do agree with you. We really don’t appreciate our voices - the way they allow us to communicate, and express ourselves, with humour, empathy, spontaneity etc etc. I have no voice anymore and really struggle to convey my personality. Lizzie x

I use my phone because I only after use my thumb to slide over the screen keyboard it guesses what I am trying to write. It's amazing.

I use a boogie board. I find it easier than a computer.

I think we all take things for granted and don’t appreciate what we have until we no longer have it. I still have my voice, but am losing the ability to use a key board even on the iPad, and writing is nearly impossible.

SueM have you got Dragon voice to text software. You can use it to dictate and give it commands like copy, past, search the web, new email etc
