Good morning all, and I hope that you all have a good day.

I’ve been up since 7.20 after a disturbed night so I’m tired. I’m dressed, had breakfast and waiting for 12 when my daughter is coming to take me up to Settle. Steve left about 8am as he’s teaching Irish fiddle at the festival. Me and my daughter are going to an afternoon concert in The Victoria Hall, and probably a wander around the village. I think that Steve will be busking with our concertina playing (and singing) friend.

We we’re both wiped out after getting home late from the last night of the Settle Folk Gathering. A smashing day had. 2 great concerts and an hour sitting in the Victoria Hall back garden with an English music session going on.

I didn’t get into bed until 1.30 am. Was awake 6, went to the loo and took 2 more paracetamol then couldn’t get back to sleep until about 7.30, awake 8, 8.30 and got up at 9. Steve didn’t get up until 10.30.

Ellie, the last concert was 7 to 10.30, a natter to friends and then the drive home. A road closure so a bit longer than the usual hour and a quarter. I take ages getting ready for bed and hence my lateness into bed. But hey ho, worth it for a musical weekend. Lynne x
