    Tried & failed

Well we got to Wales safely after a 6 & half journey traffic & roadworks. Got to the accommodation it was absolutely beautiful but couldn’t sit down anywhere as I couldn’t get back up too low, never mind that we’ll just go to bed both knackered from the journey, toilet was a little too high but still managed even if it was a struggle. Then off to bed too high couldn’t get onto it, with a lot of pushing & pulling Phil managed to get me on but I was too near the edge afraid of falling off, another struggle getting off again 🤦🏼‍♀️ By this time I couldn’t breathe properly so waited until I got my breath back and went to try the other single bed which were lower but not enough room in between, so Phil bless him had to rearrange bedroom which wasn’t ideal but we needed to sleep by the time we got sort of sorted it was 1.30am and I ended up crying & getting upset which is something i never do 🥺 I spent the rest of the night propped up best we could stiff as a board, so in the morning we both decided to come home I didn’t realise how much I rely on my riser/recliner and hospital bed. We were gutted 😢 but it was for the best and another journey home which was better only 5 hours 🥴 so last night slept really well and even slept in this morning, spent all day recovering. Sorry for the long story Love Janette x

Thanks Richard, I didn’t really think it through I booked it last year after our other holiday was cancelled and I wasn’t as advanced in my progression 🥺 We’ve made the decision now to give up on holidays and just have day trips that are not too far out there’s plenty of places to visit and I can come home to my home comforts. I hope your travel plans work out for you 🤞🏻👍 thanks for the hugs 🤗 xx

Oh Janette, how disappointing for you both, I'm so sorry. 😥

I would have been upset too, all sobs and snot, having gone through that same experience - you must have been exhausted, poor you.

Treat yourself to some nice days out this week, plenty of 🍦🍦 and maybe even a cold shandy - push the boat out 😊

Huge hugs for you and Phil.

        Love Ellie.

Oh Janette I am so very sorry your holiday plans didn't work out. You must be physically and emotionally exhausted from the long journeys and the horrible experience.

I'm not surprised you were upset... I would have been having a good cry too. None of us can be positive and upbeat all the time.

I hope you have some lovely days out this week... you deserve it !
            Love and hugs to you,
            Debbie xx

So sorry to read about your experience Janette. We have expectations whenever we go somewhere unfamiliar and often we challenge ourselves beyond what is reasonable. I do hope you can get some pleasure this week from places nearby but please don’t overdo it.

                    Love and hugs x
I’m going to do this even if it kills me!

Janette what a disappointment and considering everything involved getting there it becomes such a toil. Plus side you can now see your lift being installed in all its glory!

Nettie Please don't give up on going away - just ask more questions and ensure the accommodation will be suitable. Would be a shame never to holiday again.

I'm planning to do my dream holiday to the anciient ruins of Atecs, Mayans and Incas before i get too disabled!
