    Hi Barry,

Hopefully England will do better in their next rugby match, especially as they will be supported by a home crowd at Twickenham.

The good news is that as Italy hasn't won a match in this tournament yet, and their last two scores have both been very similar (Italy v Wales 15-26 & Italy v Ireland 16-26), hopefully this bodes well for England!

The bad news Barry, is that the TV coverage for England's next 2 matches is by ITV (I remember that your preference is the BBC!).

P.S I don't blame you for swerving the camel stew, it wouldn't appeal to me either - I expect that the humps and hooves would make it very chewy, not to mention the risk of their long eyelashes getting stuck between your teeth! LOL

So sorry about your fingers Barry, hope you feel better soon and that you can save your ring. My mum had hers cut off and then used the gold to make another one. Glad you've had a great sunshine break..you've inspired us to book flights ( with assistance)

I cant believe you would even mention an axe Terry. You're too much of a gentleman! We've been watching Luther on Netflix this week (lots of axes ) and I have had to hide behind the cushions.... Ok I am such a coward!

    Love Debbie x

Yes we always kept them sharp, the axes I mean.

Our ring cutting tool was quite slow, maybe they were trying to hard and using too much pressure.

    Hi Kayleigh,

The man with the camel who used to walk the beach every day wasn’t there this year but we did see camel stew on the menu in a few restaurants so maybe it died. I have to say we didn’t try it.

It's a shame about your wedding ring Barry. I expect that you have been wearing it for many years, and so it must hold a lot of sentimental value for you and your wife. Not that I'm implying that you and your wife are old! - it's just that you look like a very close and loving couple, and it would not surprise me if you were childhood sweethearts!

The main thing is that you are still in one piece!!

Love to you and your wife,
    Kayleigh x

P.S Did you get any photos of Humphrey when you were in Egypt?

    Terry,

I was aware that the fire service did this because my wife used them many years ago and they were excellent. I was tempted to go to the fire station next door to the hospital because the doctor and a nurse made a right hash with a blunt hand tool.

Love your story about the axe.

    Hi Barry,

We'll have to start a new thread, called the broken finger club. Sorry to hear that as well.

We used to cut rings off of swollen fingers but we did sometimes give them a option of cutting the finger off. One mouthy teenager, we actually draw a line around the finger and got him to put it on the edge of a table and got the axe out. He changed his mind and let us cut the ring off.

We always told people that a good gold worker would repair it, I guess that they can.

No wonder your wife could not straighten that finger.

    Love Terry

I don’t think my wife was too happy when I showed her my wedding ring which they had to cut off. I think I will sell it as scrap gold and put the money towards a new one.

Spent 3 hours in A&E today because I am still in pain and have no grip in my left hand. It appears that I not only dislocated two fingers but my middle one is fractured. I didn’t trust anyone in Egypt to examine me so today was the first opportunity to see to it. They have strapped my fingers and I have to visit the fracture clinic on Wednesday.

Good luck Ireland, in their match against Italy this afternoon.

I'm popping out to my local park to feed the ducks and catch some sun, but will be back home for afternoon tea, in time for the start of the match - TV coverage starts on ITV at 2.15pm.

I hope everyone is having a lovely day,
    Kayleigh x
