shelly21 - wow! Stunning lady. I'm so glad you made that brave step. My voice is not great (but has plateaued for ages now, so I think I've got used to it) and I think when you are out it can be so hard to feel able to join in. So I'm really happy to hear it went so well xx
Diagnosis confirmed Jan 2022 (age 46) after several years ignored/ misdiagnosed.

Symptoms began in left foot 2017. Now mainly left side, speech and some loss on right side too.

Unable to walk unaided (powerchair user), poor speech, left hand behaves like a drunk toddler but generally positive and determined.

shelly21 Looking good! I love that red lipstick. Makeup and decent clothes can really lift the spirits.

I’m happy for you that you got out.

shelly21 glad you were able to socialise and you smashed it...looking great! It's also so important to feel like 'yourself' and reclaim a bit of the things we all used to do, even if now that can be a whole task in itself.

It's taken me a while but I now try to grab some sort of 'experience' each day which makes that day just a little bit different from the lengthy and predictable routines that mnd forces upon us.

Ellie hope today is a better one.

I try to still go out when I can. My speech is bad as is my eating and I'm stopping making excuses for my speech. I don't see why I should be the one that gets embarrassed
