    Audio Books

Looking for recommendations for free audio book sites for someone who doesn’t have kindle. Also do you download the whole book or listen live on line. 🤷‍♂️

    Morning Bowler,

You could give this thread a try for recommendations https://forum.mndassociation.org/for...96%F0%9F%93%96

I use Audible which is owned by Amazon. I pay a monthly subscription for credits (£7.99) but there are often free books you can access. I access mine through my Alexa device, audible creates a virtual library of books that you have requested. You can download the books to a tablet or your phone if you wish so that you can listen to them off-line but as long as you have a good Internet connection you can listen to them in your virtual library.

Thanks Denise. The person is not an internet user so I’m looking for something a family member can download onto a device so all she has to do is click one thing.

I use Audible too. Find it very good. I downloaded it onto my IPad. Costs £6.99 a month but you get a lot of free books for that.

Bowler Join your local library for unlimited free audiobooks (and ebooks) through Borrowbox - a fabulous service of which I am an avid fan.

There is a thread named Audio Book Club, browse through that.

Tip: always listen to a sample first, the narrator makes or breaks a book, no matter how good the story is. xx
