    Ah, living the dream!

    Hi, I'm Eddie.
Started with wobbly left ankle in Nov 2020. Diagnosed 22 Oct 2021, confirmed by 2nd opinion 4 days later.
Full time powerchair user. Overnight NIV. PEG'ed but still eating. Voice banked but still talking.
Still wondering what the future will bring.

I'm still working my way through the UK supplies of Revels.... can't believe they are helping me to gain weight better than the Altrajuce (possibly not as healthy... but orange cream counts as fruit, surely?)

I'm not a fan of mince pies or custard so I will not be competing for those resources 🤣
Diagnosis confirmed as atypical ALS Jan 2022 (age 46) after several years misdiagnosed.

Symptoms began in left foot 2017. Now widespread. Powerchair user, useless left arm and clumsy right hand but generally positive!

Well it was the reminder from Arcadian about mince pies that made me realise why I had bloated up so much (only bought a pack of four gluten free).

So TinyLady I would be Reveling in it but they have gluten.

But surely a Minstrel would slip down just as easily (now now). The packet next to me is saying, "Pleasure worth sharing", not if I swallow first.

TinyLady you have to do what works for you to gain weight.

My speech therapist came up with lots of crisps alternatives today.

You see, when is there a bad time to talk about food.

She did say though that normal cadburys can be difficult to deal with as it causes a gu effect and the throat doesn't know what to do with it.

Orange cream certainly counts as fruit; and the chocolate grows on trees doesn't it? So that's two of the five a day right there.

I think my best councillor is my speech therapist. Is that just because she offers so many tips about eating food?

Well I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed that no one has said what a beautiful pair I have (of lungs).

Christopher oh, they're lungs - some of the things I wear for parties, I wasn’t sure...

The level of respect for AngieCanuck has just risen ten fold.

It looks like there were 90 chocolate bars in the box.

There could soon be a hall of fame.

AngieCanuck - those crepes look delicious... I do get treated to Nutella crepes on occasion from my daughter.... I might have to remind her it's been at least a couple of weeks since my last lot 🤣

OK, I might just have had another three muffins.

                                They are very small. Honest.
