WheelsOfSteel OK I got the spelling wrong .

I think it was about three in the morning (the time stamps are an hour out I think on this).

My excuse. I was doing it on my phone and as I am left handed and my fingers are all just one I thought the MND society had changed anything with a double S to a single S due to equality legislation .

Or it just shows how backward I am. As Mr Milne said in the third year of Junior school in Newton (Wales).

Last weekend we had home grown apples and locally picked blackberries in a toffee-studded crumble - with custard.
        Bliss.
Oh a crumble, now I really am jealous!

WheelsOfSteel that photo is interesting. What am I looking at?

Where did we do the biscuit testing? I had tea and biscuits yesterday and took 4 home from the care home. So with a nice cup of tea I took turns to try each one out. NICE biscuit not to bad managed a quick dunk and into my mouth. Digestive bit more difficult as I had to nibble one edge to get it into the cup which possibly made it more porous but once more managed a dunk and swallow. No idea what the next biscuit was but passed the dunk test. Last biscuit and by now I had perfected the hand action but disaster struck and the biscuit just slid into my cup. It was a very slow landslide. Dunking had to come to an end.

Did we take tea temperature into account?

No idea - I just Googled for a stock picture of "a desert" Sorry again - I'll be over there...

denise I applaud your efforts to publish results of extensive testing across a range of biscuits.
I'm just wondering how far this field of research will advance when the Christmas biscuit selection boxes get opened.
We could push the boundaries of known science and try garibaldis in earl grey and pink wafers in hot chocolate

WheelsOfSteel Chocolate could cause all kinds of problems.

I'm thinking desert as in sandy space rather than desert as in piggin out. Might be worth checking your search process. Probably might be worthwhile considering this at mealtimes in case a bowl of sand turns up!! 😳

So good to see that everyone is taking the research seriously.

There will of course have to be a subcategory for gluten free biscuits. They used to be awful, but now have really improved (just like the cakes).

I would presume (but one should never do that in science) that they will fail earlier in the dunk test due to the gluten part being the binding agent.

I would say that I will be doing extensive testing today, but did too much yesterday and really feeling sorry for myself.

So that has just given me the answer. Triple chocolate cookies.

Now do we have to test for how long it takes for chocolate coverings to drip off into tea as well. Is there also the sticky factor, as in when do you see chocolate on your fingers from the biscuit.

We have started a whole new area of science that could be key to the survival of the British way of life.

                Loves and hugs.

For you hardcore dunkers out there, I suggest the Tim Tam Slam
An Australian colleague told me of this iconic method of enjoying their favourite chocolate biscuit (equivalent to our Penguins).
I thought he was kidding me, but see the YouTube link below for a demonstration.
Summary: Bite off opposite corners of the biscuit, then use the hollow between the layers as a straw to suck up your drink.
There is only one correct way to eat Arnotts Tim Tams.Bite off the corners, and suck coffee through the biscuit :-)

                    Thank you for the smiles.

I know about these biscuits. Haven't yet tried it but might put it on my bucket list.

Thing with chocolate is the biscuit gets slippery and it just escapes into the cup. Nothing like a cup of floating and sunken chocolate biscuits. This is something that has to be carried out in the privacy of your own home. 🌝

                          Love you both.

                          Bring smiles to rough days.

I have just been reminded by a text from someone at work when they asked about someone's salary in the USA, that there are 12 months in the year. Why doesn't anyone tell me anything. When did that happen? So much easier to multiply a monthly salary number by ten in your head.

After all we have ten fingers (please not the thumb thing).

And the most important point of all.

There seem to be about ten triple chocolate cookies in a pack; and ten chocolate muffins in a box.

Should we be checking the molecular weight of all these items too, so that we can see which biscuit has the most calories for size and molecular weight for when it goes on the chinook for emergency deliveries??

When I was working for the Air Force there was one Christmas party where we did actually find out how many helium balloons we had to steal from the table decorations to airlift a mince pie across the dancefloor. (5)

Well that sounds a bit like the hula hoop stacking challenge

Down below in the saloon on winter seas. Added variable of a rocking boat too

You have all cheered me up. I found out my cat was run over and killed then I got a call about Stephen's chc next week. I'm laughing, have to brush ourselves down and get on with it.

Love the mince pie thing. Would be great to try it out. Sounds like something from Harry Potter. 🤣
