    Assessment tool

HI MND people, someone is looking on another thread for the assessment/deterioration scoring tool. I have looked on your website but cannot find anything. Can you give us an idea where we could find it? Thank you.

Think they only work office hours.
Do you mean the ALSFRS? If so, here's the link:

      http://www.outcomes-umassmed.org/ALS/alsscale.aspx

However, it's often thought to be irrelevant and outdated.
Diagnosed 03/2007. Sporadic Definite ALS/MND Spinal (hand) Onset.
Eye gaze user - No functional limbs - No speech - Feeding tube - Overnight NIV.

TB once said that "The forum is still the best source for friendship and information."

It will only remain so if new people post and keep us updated on things that work or don't work and tips.

Please post on old threads that are of use so that others see them and feel free to start new subjects and threads.

            Hi Dvd,

It was Kc who was enquiring.

I am assessed as 'low' needs in the communication domain even though I cannot talk. Assessors can assess as they please in reality.

            Regards

              Hi all,

Thank you Ellie for sending the link for the ALS Functional Rating Score.

I just wanted to confirm that we will be regularly checking the forum during our office hours, which are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

              Many thanks,

              Adele
