    Riluzole

    Hi everyone. I was wondering what people's experience is with taking Riluzole. I am interested to know what side effects you experienced and whether they receded in the weeks after starting the med?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi TPS;

    I don't think that I had any side affects. There are quite a few threads on Riluzole so if you put it in the search box top right of page , you should find them.

    Sometimes it is advisable to only take one tablet a day for 2 or 3 weeks so your body gets used to it. Also it's important that it is swallowed quickly and does not devolve in the mouth or throat.

        No side effects in 18 months.

        As Santa Terry says, don't let it dissolve in your mouth - can make it tingle or go numb.

        Make sure your liver function (ALT levels) is checked regularly.
