    "Wanted" New thread

    Can we have a new thread called "Wanted", mainly for equipment.

    Many people now seem to be buying things that maybe others have spare at home or no longer need. I also see things advertised for free or very little money that would help others with Mnd.

    We would have to write a disclaimer, and best for people to describe what they want, the area they live, and their height and rough weight with regard to rise and recline chairs, etc.
    I know it's best to get a OT's advice and even get them to supply things but so often advice is slow and some items that we need now take months if they supply them at all.

    Whilst we don't want too many "Subject" Titles, I do think that this should be a stand alone one and can't be incorporated in the Equipment one.

    I have noticed that the bottom subject has not been used for over a year.

    Love Terry

    It will only remain so if new people post and keep us updated on things that work or don't work and tips.

    Please post on old threads that are of use so that others see them and feel free to start new subjects and threads.

      Hi Terry,

      Thanks for submitting this, we think its an interesting idea and something we will most definitely explore and speak to our technical team about.

            Hi Jonboy;

            Are you trying to say that this is a good idea because it's not really about OT's.

              what I am saying is all the OT’s I have met are morons that know nothing about terminal illness - equipment - mangement of symptoms - realistic timescales, answering the phone, returning a call>..................actually most don’t care, following a script. My last OT offered me a riser recliner - ye gods and hells teeth .

                Hi Jonboy

                I'm sorry to hear that you've had so many problems with your OT. If you continue to have problems then please do contact us. We'd be happy to speak to the OT for you to try to help to resolve any problems. We are available either on freephone 0808 802 6262 or by email at [email protected]

                  My local MNDA branch has been amazing regarding support sourcing equipment.
