Chest pain

Hi everyone it’s me again
Can I just ask if anyone’s loved one or anyone who has MND and is on BiPAP weather they get muscular chest pain ? ANDY keeps getting right sided chest pain just above his last rib ? I explain to him that it’s probably costal condritis / muscular / pluratic , but he gets quite anxious about it .. I’m just wandering if anyone else gets this ?

This only happens when Andy uses BiPAP?

Does he feel comfortable with the BiPAP setting, as in he doesn't feel forced into a breathing pattern or that he's almost gulping in air?

It could be just due to using the muscles properly or a wee spasm, which would last longer if he tenses up. If it happens regularly, he could try taking magnesium - it may not be widespread enough to start on antispasmodic meds yet.

Of course it might be something totally different!! Maybe it's indigestion or stomach related, and, as always, don't assume every symptom is down to MND - if he is concerned, have it checked out.

I occasionaly get intercostal spasms but usually when I'm upright - so no help to you there!!

Well, I'm about 240km / 150miles SW of the Scottish border, which is probably a lot closer than many UK members are
I'm in Dublin.
