    Another fall

After a week of arguments over my husband thinking it's a good idea to get up early 4am for a smoke outside. It's been bitterly cold. I've told him what I think and I thought he had listened. Few days pass and again early morning he's outside not once but twice. I only had half a fag was his answer. It's not the fags it's going outside in freezing temperatures. What if you fall and you can't get up and I don't know you are outside?
I get a knock on the door he's gone up some stairs, turned and fallen. He's smashed the side of his face on a huge flower pot. Some people passing picked him up.
I honestly don't know what I'm supposed to do. He takes no notice of me. He listens, says he understands and this happens. 😦
when i can think of something profound i will update this.

Denise have you tried tying an extendable dog lead to him 🀣
( not around his neck though)
As long as there’s golf and beer I’m happy

I have and attaching it to someone's gate with a please look after, feed and take for the occasional walk. What's wrong with round his neck? 😲

Has Stephen tried a vape. Perhaps he could use it inside, I did and still do. Quite apart from the obvious benefit I now spend in a year what I would spend in a month on Fags

Denise, have you thought about using those handcuffs that you keep by the side of the bed!
I’m going to do this even if it kills me!

Very funny Barry πŸ˜„ but I do feel like locking him in. As for vaping my son has tried to encourage him but he's not interested. It makes me feel ill so I wouldn't want him indoors doing it.
can you believe 4am this morning he was outside again! No doubt more than once. I've said to him if you have to go out during the day sit down. He couldn't sit down because the chairs are icy. So goodness knows what it was like underfoot. Another shouting match this morning and only 6.30!
            I don't know why I bother. ☹

Denise, you bother because of love, compassion and the 40 plus years.

We from the north east of England regularly went to parties in fancy dress and I’m sure I saw Denise dressed as a police officer but I have been having strange dreams lately.

I realise it's frustrating, Denise, but why not just let him do what he wants and if he injures himself then it's his own fault. He might be trying to exert a bit of independence, like a rebellious teenager. There's only so much you can do to protect people from themselves. If this seems insensitive then I apologise.
Each day is made easier with a bit of humour.
