    Buzzer happy

Just to give you a little insight into my day since Neil got the carer alert buzzer! Buzzed at 2.10am and 6am to take him to toilet. Obviously I didn’t get back to sleep so went downstairs. 7.45 buzz. Meds, toilet, shower, teeth brushed, shaved and dressed him. Downstairs in chair for 9.15am. I told him I was going to do my workout for 40mins. 20 minutes later buzz. Wanted a drink! Got drink. Back to workout. 10mins later buzz. Wanted the loo! Took him to loo. Told him to sit there for 5 mins for me to finish workout. Bang bang on the wall! Back to chair. I got showered and dressed. Buzz. Head is itchy. Asked me to order anti dandruff shampoo. Buzz. cold. Wants fleece on. Buzz. Wants fingernails cut. Buzz. Wants toilet. Meds at 12. Buzz. Wants trainers on to go to gym. 12.30. Buzz. Wants to get into car. Gym not until 1pm so too early. But got into car. Saw Kevin for 40minutes whilst I waited in car. Got 40minutes peace but bp sky high! Got home. Didn’t want toilet. Cold. Put fire on. Meds at 2pm. Buzz. Too hot. Fire off. Fleece off. Buzz. Toilet. Buzz. Wants me to order anti dandruff shampoo... again. Feed at 4pm. Buzz. Can’t snooze cos there is too much noise! Buzz. Needing a number 2 but not yet! Buzz. Toilet - no number 2. Buzz. Feet hot. Wants socks off. 7.45pm meds/flush. Took drink away which had not been touched, even although he had BUZZED for it. 8pm buzz. Still waiting for number 2! 8.27pm wants number 2. Back to toilet and I’m off to sharpen a pencil!! 9.15pm and he’s in bed and overnight feed running. All with no alcohol. Thought this would give you a chuckle! Xx

Oh Lynda I don't know how you do it. I certainly don't know how you have the strength to do a work out and can't help but think with all that you do it's required. It's your chance at me time I guess. I'm exhausted just reading about your day. My days aren't as bad as that yet. No doubt that will be due at some stage.
    hugs to you
    Denise xxxx
when i can think of something profound i will update this.

Forgive the question but what is actually not working with Neil if he is going to a gym? You all know me and I think I'm qualified to ask yes or no or si or non? 😍x

Hi Matthew, because of a lack of physio time, Neil was going to a personal trainer twice a week but this stopped at Christmas. We are now vaccinated and Neil was keen to see him again after having multiple falls and struggling with a range of movement. I was doing a wee dance workout for “oldies” on Youtube because I have put on a lot of weight over the last year! Hope that answers your question. Hoping today will be a little quieter! Lx

P.S. If you can't be old, fat, happy and loved what's the point of it all? 😁x

You poor woman 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m a sufferer but if I was using my buzzer like that my other half would be sticking it where the sun don’t shine!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I hope you have a better day today Lynda x

And I hope you're all behind the Act to Adapt Campaign?

Oh my days Lynda, I was exhausted just reading that, so I can't imagine how you felt!

If I tried ringing my bell like that, myself and said bell would find ourselves unceremoniously dumped in the middle of the road 🥴

There's a big difference in being a helping hand and being a skivvy - if Neil has the functional ability to do things, no matter how small, he should do so, not only to give you a break, but to keep whatever muscles moving whilst he can.

2 pees during the night!! I hope he uses a urinal bottle.

Have a chat with him about his over zealous buzzer use.

                          Sending you a ginormous hug.

                          Love Ellie.
