Thanks for all the advice. We were provided with a β€˜Wendylet’ and slide sheets by our Adult Social Care nurse. I struggle with the slide sheet as it often crumples under her hip causing her pain as she cannot move herself off it but we keep trying.
Husband and carer to my wonderful wife diagnosed with ALS Oct 20.

Has she been advised by an ot what bed she needs ,my mam had an air mattress which was permanently connected to electric, it prevented bed sores and she was very! thin ,get an inflatable seat cushion !night time was hoping I would be alive the next day! and am I adequate for her needs!and I can't cope and I wish she could talk ,she lost her speech a month after diagnosis.

Try real sheepskin. I manage eight hours on an inflatable air bed with a sheepskin. Nothing is perfect and I am always forced up with a pressure pain somewhere. πŸ‘πŸ˜πŸ˜€πŸ˜xx
