Standing Powered wheelchair

Hi

Just wondering whether anyone has tried a standing powered wheelchair whilst having no limb mobility ?

My Father has an electric sitting wheelchair however struggles a lot with sitting or lying down all day since he has no limb movement now

Not sure whether a standing wheelchair is safe/practical though considering the immobility but have seen some where you can be strapped in to reduce any risk of falling/injuries etc.

Aadam One of our members had a few Genie standing powerchairs and largely liked them. For him, they were more for occasional use, not for full-time use: some people might not find them as comfortable as their standard power fitted with pressure relief cushions.

It’s definitely worth your dad getting a demonstration of a standing powerchair so he can decide if it’s something he’d be interested in: they're not cheap…
