Lost my wife

Twelve years ago the police came to tell me my wife's body had been taken from the local canal and I am still trying to come to terms with that.
Now MND has come along to complicate things even more.

I’m so sorry you had to experience the tragedy with your wife, and with your diagnosis of MND it must be tough for you. I wish you all the best that you can deal with this the best you can and you always have this group to open up to. Take of yourself

Dear Keno, so sorry about your wife. Not surprised that your still trying to come to terms with it. MND on top must have really been the last straw. You’ll get lots of support here but maybe try some counselling too. Ask whatever you want and one or other of us will try to help. Have you got all of the local services coming to you yet (OT; Speech and Language Therapist; Physiotherapist and Wheelchair Services)? Take care x

She had a bad time with her mum having dementia and convinced herself that she had it. Turned out it was a cardia vascular problem starving her brain of oxygen.
Susan died at beginning of June 2010 and the inquest was two weeks before Christmas. I had police coming to take statements and coroners ringing during that time.
At the time I was offered counseling at £40 an hour which was too expensive for me.

That’s awful Keno. Counselling when I had it many years ago was at my GP’s and free but she was part of the staff at the surgery. Very forward thinking of them I guess x

I think so. Only saw the support nurse last week and she put me in for some things but it will probably take a while.
