    Fundraiser this weekend

    This weekend my son and daughter plus granddaughter and her fella are walking on the south west coastal path to raise money for MND Association.Very proud and grateful.
    So far they have raised Β£5,600 pounds.

    Bulbar started Jan 2020. Mute and 100% tube fed but mobile and undefeated. Stay Strong πŸ€—πŸ˜˜πŸ€—πŸ˜xx

      Eye gaze user - No functional limbs - No speech - Feeding tube - Overnight NIV.

        Bloody amaing! Makes me feel sorry i'm too cowardly to ask for sponsorship - i tend to give money directly to causes i belive in. Just joined Dignity In Dying - want he option to choose. And no, i am nowhere near that stage!
        Mum died with MND in 1979 – My sister and I have a wonky gene, probably inherited from mum. Reckon my MND started sometime in 2018.

          Mary C that's a wonderful thing to do. That will help so many of us living with MNDπŸŽ‰πŸ†
          Initial diagnosis 7-4-2021 'suspected MND' confirmed by 2nd opinion 4th June 2021 ALS. Began with R foot limp and lots of falls. NIV overnight. Generally weak. Mostly terrified.​​​​​​

            Very proud they completed the walk late afternoon today.16 hours ( over 2 days)of walking on south west coastal path organised by my 20 year old granddaughter.Exceeded target of Β£5000.
            Hope the money raised by them for MND Association will help many people.

                      Mary that’s great. Being a Cornwall girl myself, I know the path is often very up and down! (Though also very beautiful). Evelyn, I have the same reservations x
                      Diagnosed July 2020, ALS bulbar onset. PEG and ventilator (mainly at night), and pretty poor speech, but legs still about functioning!
