[Bowler]

Herefordshire and Worcestershire group is run by a small band of 4 active volunteers. Our members meet up on the first Tuesday of every month at tried and trusted garden centres around the regions. We come together for a couple of hours of coffee, cake, laughs and to forget about the daily grind. Our wonderful members are at various stages, some use speech apps others peg fed some use portable NIV.

As a group we are always on the lookout for fresh ideas and to learn from other branches / groups, so if you belong to a group it would be great if you could share what you get up to.

If you or know someone that lives in the two counties and haven’t yet tried us out well it’s an open invitation. Likewise if you or someone you know has thought about doing a bit of volunteering I am more than happy to chat.

Hiya Bowler I am just down the road in the Gloucestershire group.
Our monthly coffee and cake meet-ups are the first Thursday (today ) in a local garden centre.
I hear the group sometimes has speaker events, but I have not been to one yet.

During the lockdowns we moved on line and did manage to get a couple of HCP to join in. There was a stark difference between the two counties on what was available in terms of support. One of speakers said she felt really embarrassed about the differences. I think she ran for the hills never to be seen again.
