Oh Dina, I could weep for joy
There weren't any 'you-specific' issues raised so far, so hopefully there won't be any last minute glitches.
Will they give you any meds you're due (through feeding tube)?
If the food pump comes up as an issue, Nutricia Homeward are excellent (at least, here they are) and willingly come to train carers, if necessary.
If there is a bit of a delay in getting the right carers with the right training, don't panic, it'll be worth an extra few days in there and go home to a proper care set up.
The main thing is that the CHC is FINALLY approved - and I am almost as happy as you are
Onward and upwards.
Love Ellie.

Amazing news
IT'S BEEN APPROVED!
I CAN GO HOME!
I'll probably be going early next week, as long as the carers all get signed off for their me-specific training.
Can you tell I'm pleased?

I have a theory that the reason I'm still here is that the doctors and staff all love me so much that they can't to see me go! But I may have got that wrong. They reminded me yesterday that my hospital number includes '666', the sign of the Beast! Ha ha ha.

Thank you, Chrissie.
Even though funding still hasn't been approved the first group of carers is coming in for training today, which shows remarkable trust on the part of the care company .
I hope you and Douglas are settling in withyour new routine.
Make sure you take very good care of yourself.

I hope their intervention does help, Dina. It is truly awful how you have been treated.

Thanks, Ellie. If or when I hear anything, I shall be shouting it from the rooftops!
Terry, I don't care if they are because I feel very supported by them.

It can't do any harm, Dina;
But I reckon they are doing it for their benefit as well as yours.

Today's good news (I' e trying to get online for hours to post it) is that the doctors on the ward are angry about the way I have been treated by the CHC. Although there is almost nothing they can do to speed up the process, they are submitting an incident report telling the CHC about the seriousness of the psychological and physical deterioration I have suffered since the Fast-Track application was submitted on 16 September.
Although this is unlikely to do much for me, it may help other MND sufferers in the future.
Perhaps there is light at the end of the tunnel and It could be Christmas, rather than Easter!
