Even though funding still hasn't been approved the first group of carers is coming in for training today, which shows remarkable trust on the part of the care company .
I hope you and Douglas are settling in withyour new routine.
Make sure you take very good care of yourself.

Trying to keep positive, but not always managing.
I am so relieved. One step at a time and all that.
Fingers crossed!

Thank you, Doug. Don't worry, i'm not counting my chickens!
I have a theory that the reason I'm still here is that the doctors and staff all love me so much that they can't to see me go! But I may have got that wrong. They reminded me yesterday that my hospital number includes '666', the sign of the Beast! Ha ha ha.

There weren't any 'you-specific' issues raised so far, so hopefully there won't be any last minute glitches.
Will they give you any meds you're due (through feeding tube)?
If the food pump comes up as an issue, Nutricia Homeward are excellent (at least, here they are) and willingly come to train carers, if necessary.
If there is a bit of a delay in getting the right carers with the right training, don't panic, it'll be worth an extra few days in there and go home to a proper care set up.
The main thing is that the CHC is FINALLY approved - and I am almost as happy as you are
Onward and upwards.

Once you are home you can live life how you dictate. I expect you won’t have as much time to write all the stories that keep us entertained or even those that anger us on your behalf.

Hi Dina,
I think that was the Doctors just being cheeky and 'Number 46' with their joke about the number 666. All of them have told me they really think you are as cute as 'Number 42'!
I'm glad the doctors have been so supportive - and after your very good news today, perhaps their intervention helped and the CHC decision makers did follow 'Number 9', in the end!
I am so happy about your good news, that I could 'Number 35' - and was so pleased and excited when I read about it, I nearly spilled my 'Number 3'! LOL
Hopefully you will be home very soon - back to your home comforts and where you can enjoy plenty of quality time, including 'Number 41', with your family and friends.
.. and if you hear a 'Number 4', it might be me Trick or Treating?!! You can join me, if you like? I might have to ask TC if I can borrow his sweet-talking talking-machine though - as with my slurred speech, we'd be more likely to end up with lots of Teats, rather than Treats! LOL
Sending you lots of love and 'three score and ten' congratulatory hugs!
