MND has taken my lovely husband

Sadly my darling Tony died in hospital yesterday of sepsis and pneumonia, brought on by F...... MND. He was very brave and able to say goodbye to his loved ones before slipping into a peaceful sleep. Our daughter Leanne had our first grand child, a beautiful boy, by emergency caesarian an hour later. Mum and baby doing well. What a day

Devonmaid, I am so sorry that MND stole your beloved husband, Tony, yesterday on what should have been such a wonderful, special day for you all with the birth of your first grandchild. I hope you and Leanne will be able to find some comfort in her beautiful baby boy.

Good morning Devonmaid. What a challenging day for you all. I'm very sorry for Tony's passing and that he didn't get to see his new grandson, thanks, as you say to f...... MND. I hope that Leanne recovers well from the cesarean and you all find a way to deal with the mixed feelings that the day must have resulted in. Love and best wishes, Lynne x

                Dear Devonmaid,

I'm very sorry to hear your lovely husband has passed away. My sincere condolences to you and your family.

Its wonderful news that your new Grandson has arrived, safe and well. A precious new life for you and your family to love and cherish. I'm so sad that Tony didn't get to meet him.

Although they never met, your baby Grandson will grow up, having his life enriched, with all his family's memories of what a wonderful and brave man his Grandad was.

Rest in Peace Tony. You will never be forgotten. You will live on in the hearts of your loved ones and in all the precious memories they treasure of you.

Love to you and all your family Devonmaid, and many congratulations on the arrival of your Grandson. My thoughts are with you all, at what must be a time of very mixed emotions.

                Love,

What a bittersweet day yesterday was for your family, especially for you and Leanne. I am certain your new grandson will hear many lovely stories about his grandad as he grows up.

Tony was blessed to have such a loving and caring wife, friend and staunch advocate as you.

                        Devonmaid,
As a carer for my wife who is now in the palliative stage of MND I admire your resolve, support and tenderness you have given Tony. So often its is a forgotten role dealing with this disease every day. My condolences and love to a truly caring carer and partner. Steve G
