PS My favourite things to watch on TV are quiz shows, cartoons and Corrie. Do your Grandchildren like watching cartoons like Top Cat with you Lynne?
I’m loving the Kate Bush song and it’s great to see it linked with Benny from Top Cat.

I refer to Cc"s hubby as Benny,

He is a very very similar age to me.

Cc sent me a birthday cake

I sent this back with a cut out of Benny

I wouldn't mind getting my paws on a slice of that very tempting cake Terry.

It looks delicious and the person who decorated it did very well - especially with making TC look tip-top and just like the really cool cat he is!

Your addition of Benny to the cake topper made the cake even more purrrfect!

I expect that Benny is just as kind hearted as his wonderful wife! What a lovely birthday gift to organise for you, all the way from across the pond.

CC and Benny both have hearts of gold, just like you TC!

            Hi Kayleigh

Where there's a will there's a way. Actually it was quite easy, I just called a local bakery in Terry's town and spoke with the owner. The woman was a sweet as his cake looks but she must have been young she didn't know who TopCat was so I sent her images. She did a very good job with the cake.

I called her again when Terry was in the hospital and sent him a bouquet of balloons. I asked her to make it very cheerful along with some 'get well' balloons, but she didn't have any 'get well' balloons.

So she said to me she had a "happy bumblebee". I have to say her British accent was very heavy and I did have a hard time understanding her. I thought she was say saying she had a 'happy bubbly' of course I didn't know what a 'happy bubbly' was so I kept repeating "a happy bubbly ??" and she'd say "no a happy bumblebee' and i'd say again "a happy bubbly ?????" then I asked her "a happy bubbly is that something British ??" lol I finally got she was saying 'bumblebee' but I just know she was thinking 'Dumb American' LOL

              Hi CC,

That makes me feel rather old, if younger generations haven't heard of Top Cat! I expect the lady at the bakers might be a fan now though, after organising such a purrrfect looking cake for TC.

Those 'happy bumblebee' balloons must have given TC quite a buzz when he received them. I expect he couldn't beelieve his eyes when he saw them beecause they were such a beeutiful surprise to beehold!

                    Hi Terry,

How are you feeling today? - I hope you are continuing to make a good recovery from being cooped up in hospital for so long.

Its good to see you back on the forum more - and I expect it feels good to be back at home with your wife and your home comforts!

I've managed to get my paws on a purrfectly good James Brown copycat ... (and I wonder if CC's cats can do this??? LOL) ....

Never mind Cc"s cats doing that, we want to be able too,

Ccs balloons and cup cakes did lift our day in the hospital because of major bridge closure due to the weather it arrived a day late and the bee had gone down. It looked so sad but it did give us a good laugh.

The TC cake was truly scrumptious.

My energy levels are a lot better but my back is worse than ever.

                      Love Terry

                        Hi Terry,

A shame the bee arrived a bit beflated but perhaps the bee balloon had let out some laughing gas to make you chuckle!

I bet those cup cakes went down very nicely! - and knowing you TC, probably with a coffee brought in by your lovely wife or Grandad from the nearest Costa's!

I don't think I've ever been able to dance as good as Garfield but was quite good at line dancing .. LOL..

Sorry to hear your back is still painful. Not sure what to suggest apart from your GP prescribing stronger painkillers, if you've not tried some already.

Physiotherapy funded by the NHS for MND patients seems to be non existant or perhaps its a postcode lottery?

                        Take care.

                          Hi Terry,

When I went out today it was raining cats and dogs.

I saw Thomas O'Malley and he reminded me of your cheerful smile and charming personality.

This Tom Cat could be related to Top Cat?? ... but he's not as cool or as tip-top as TC of course!

Hi everyone. This is a message from Terry’s Grandad. (I am Richard who has been Terry’s friend for about 6 years).
I have to let you know that Terry is now in St Elizabeth Hospice in Ipswich and is really extremely unwell.
His wife, Linda is staying there with him and it is likely that he just might not survive. I’m in regular contact with them both but, sadly, because of Coronavirus, I’m unable to visit him.
                            I’ll keep you all updated.

Thank you Richard for keeping us updated.

I , like all Terry's forum friends, have been thinking about Terry and wondering how he is. It's so sad to read this.

Sending love, thoughts and strength to Terry and Linda.
