Hi, my mam has bulbar MND and her breathing is getting worse. She has had 5 panic attacks, the last one being last night and I had to call 999 as her breathing was so bad. We have been given a prescription for lorazepam 1mg orodispersable tablets from the hospital consultant. The problem is we cannot find a pharmacy that has them in stock anywhere. Has anyone had this problem? The hospital are ordering them but I really need her to have them tonight. Thanks xx

Lesley, hopefully someone will post about getting those orodispersible tabs and give you an idea of their availability. Ask the pharmacist to check if they are generally available maybe?
If they don't, see if you can get a script for Lorazepam 1mg/ml Oral Solution - IDK if it has restricted availability and you may need to be trained in how to administer it first, but it's worth looking into.
In the immediate term, maybe the standard tablets are worth getting - they are fast acting but, in a panic attack situation, I know swallowing a tablet is almost impossible...
Did the paramedics give her anything or did they manage to calm her down?
Try to get the Just in Case Kit from her GP too. https://static.mndassociation.org/ap...et-for-gps.pdf
I hope your mam has a better night.
