Support MND carers by signing our open letter

This morning, we have launched our new campaign #supportMNDcarers and we would really appreciate your support in signing our open letter.

We are extremely concerned that unpaid MND carers are under immense pressure to provide more care with no breaks and very little support. That’s why we are calling on the UK Government, the Welsh Government, and the Northern Ireland Executive to act now to relieve some of the immediate pressures being faced by our carers. We want to see improved access to testing and PPE, increase in Carers Allowance, and clear guidance that helps protect unpaid carers and those they care for as lockdown restrictions begin to be lifted.

Please join our urgent call to #supportMNDcarers through the COVID-19 crisis by signing our open letter and share your experiences.

    Thank you for your support.
Our working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am until 5pm

Yes I agree. My husband's wonderful carer hasn't been for three months now. Both her and hubby agreed the risks were too great as she also works in a hospital.
So it's all down to me day and night. My business is currently closed and so we have no income.
Hubby gets CHC so I phoned and suggested they may like to pay me as the carer. I've had no response so I think the answer is no. You can only ask.

Gosh MMW, how awful for you - I'm sorry for your woes.
