Hi, does anyone else have trouble with their eyes, my left eye seems to keep going into spasm, don’t know if it’s part of the progression or something else. Janette x

    Hi Janette.

When you say your "left eye seems to keep going into spasm", do you mean the muscles behind the eye lock, causing the eye to stare or the eyelid muscles spams? (or something else entirely perhaps...)

Both of my eyes often fix in a stare for a few seconds before I can blink them back into moving again - this can happen at any time during the day, so not tiredness related and I know, for me, it's not meds related either. You'll read that the extraocular muscles "generally remain unaffected" in MND, but I have some degree of involvement, thankfully very mild.

If you have any concerns, you should run it by your doctor.

    Love Ellie.
