My legs went stiff all of a sudden

Hi all I played golf miserably on Saturday and Sunday I woke up and my legs went all stiff and I struggled to walk. I haven’t got out of bed today (Monday) as I’m dreading them being the same. Is it because I walked a few miles during my golf round ? Does it just happen that quickly?
    Thanks in advance

It does sound like your legs are complaining about their hard weekend Wayne and need time to recover (or maybe they're punishing you for playing so "miserably" ) Exercise is good but the way to do it is not to overdo it.

You don't need to stop playing golf or worse, come to see it as an unenjoyable chore. Maybe sometimes you could change the way you play - you'd know better than I do about how not to spend hours on the golf course - could you maybe try a Round Robin, play pairs over your favourite 9, depending on how many people you play with. Maybe the Club has buggies you can use/hire.

Do try and keep your legs moving gently today and give them some TLC, such as gentle massage (always massage towards the heart) and keeping muscles warm.

If stiff muscles become an ongoing issue, plenty of us need to take antispasmodic meds, magnesium supplements or CBD oil to have normal, or normalish, muscle tone.

Hope the legs recover soon and if you think you need to see your GP, don't hesitate.

    Take care.

    Love Ellie.

Hello, I'm still golfing, but only once a week and I'm stiff for a day or so later but two rounds in two days is, what nearly 8,9 miles. I have one semi bad leg and I do feel it the following morning, but on the positive side it's good for my shoulder, which my physio is pleased with, keep playing as other muscle groups may develop , your body will adapt to compensate, but suggest 36 holds may be too much , keep playing though , ibuprofen and red bull gets me through, ha ha

Hello again Wayne, just had a thought, have you been getting leg cramps. prior to my leg going I had about 3 weeks of cramping , cramps stopped, leg stopped, wouldn't straighten when walking, but it hasn't got worse and that was about February, just to give you a little hope maybe
