Hi Hayls,
Firstly, congrats on moving into an adapted property!!
I'm taking it that it's the backs of your thighs/above your knees when you say the "back of your legs" are sore?
If your wheelchair cushion is causing pain, you need to be assessed by your OT or wheelchair services. It could be that the cushion is OK but the legs, footrests, seat and/or backrests need to be adjusted, or the cushion is wrong for you. - whatever the reason, you can't be left in pain!
Any idea what type of cushion you have? I wonder if using the tilt in space function would provide some relief?
You need to contact the OT for starters, hopefully you'll soon be sorted. In the meantime, have you anything you could put on top of the cushion which might give a bit more comfortable?

Hi Haylis,
So glad you've successfully moved into your adapted new home. I spend all day in my Salsa mini wheelchair before transferring to my riser recliner in the evenings. I have had quite a few adjustments to my chair and different cushions. Like Doug I prefer the roho cushions although I don't use it in the WAV as it makes me too high. I have had different footrests and I have a roho cushion for my feet.
Wheelchair services will come to the house if I need an adjustment. They assure me there are worse clients than me ! Maybe the coffee and cake help! Your OT should be checking your comfort as it's hard enough without pain.
My MND nurse is very aware of pressure points and I use a barrier cream in my chair and in bed as I don't move much.
Good Luck and I hope you feel better soon.
Love Debbie x
