i admit i thought who is doddie weir. oh and becareful using a hair dryer near water. dont want you all electrocuted. these pods sounds great but they would have to be attached to sewer, water and electricity so they are not going to be cheap. great idea though.

I've built a temporary pod for my wife who has mnd inside our rear sitting room (close to the drains, etc) following more or less a spec I was given by our local authority OT. It cost a lot less than some of the solutions out there. There's an architechtural firm called Dignity access Limited ( https://dignityaccess.co.uk/ ) that specialises in this kind of thing that I approached but it cost a ton of money to buy - over Β£20K - and was beyond our means, and also bigger than we could manage indoors.

Guy thanks for googling I'll take a look. I think that's the slight problem though, the money tree looking a little bare. And of course with no hot tub that would break the deal
I bought a mynamesDoddie face mask to support, pretty out there tartan for those brave enoughI met him briefly back in 2012 at a uni event in Edinburgh. Stood on a chair to get a photo with him and we were the same height (and I'm not small at all π) Will need to check out the podcast DeeH

I can see Matthew is not a rugby fan. Doddie also played for Newcastle Falcons, my hometown team. The money he has raised is great news for MNDA and even if much of the cash goes to the Scottish charity a fair chunk comes south.

I totally recommend the Doddie podcasts. Husband was just talking about body dryers in 70s sci fi today and wondering if they were an actual thing.
Great idea Tess with the hair dryer.

Hi Matthew - he's a very tall, famous scottish ex rugby player who has mnd. He's doing a good job - https://www.myname5doddie.co.uk/. Coincidentally my dentist used to train with him! He sounds a genuinely good guy.
Tess - out of interest i just googled body driers - the Apres Body Drier looks great but you'd need deep pockets. Didn't see a matching hot tub

He was a Scottish rugby union player. Think he was diagnosed in 2016

Good morning,
We used to use this lot for events we organised but perhaps this is a little too portable for the purpose?

More seriously this lot may be worth a look;
