Speak to your SALT about the reading issue. When my wife started having problems Sarah our Speech and Language Therapist arranged for a home visit from ACT ( Access Communication through Technology). They did a full assessment of Ann’s needs. They spent time talking to her about interests and the sort of things she would like to do. They then provided her with a computer with suitable software installed. The computer was both touch screen and mouse operated. They even supplied an adjustable table to fit over her chair to put it on. This is a no cost option that might get your dad hooked on all things internet or at least allow you to download books for him. It will also future proof him for if he gets speech problems and will include eye gaze functionality.

    good luck

Lots of stuff on YouTube. Audio books, radio plays and drama. Worth a look.

Hi Doug, no he isn’t really. Maybe I should get him an iPad and show him some things. He loves reading but is now unable to hold the book and turn pages. I’ve bought him a stand to put a book on that is adjustable. So could put an Ipad on that? Sorry also just realised I have deleted my original post when trying to edit some spelling mistakes 🙄😂
