Hi Mathew, Grief can be an extremely selfish emotion but should never be put above the suffering of others. It’s very hard to let someone you love go and can be much easier to keep them close.

Denise, beautifully put. When the eyes implore you to take action it becomes an impossible situation

What a question Matthew. I honestly don't know. We want them to be there because we don't want to be alone. We don't want them to be here if we know they are suffering because we suffer for them too. I can see why a partner might take a life because it's through love.

    Whose life?

When someone who you love is slowly dying is your feeling to prolong their suffering for their sake or your own? I know as I have been there. Grief is a very selfish emotion.
