    Fall

I fell just now trying to get to the loo with the walker. Legs collapsed.

My strong young neighbour had to come in and lift me back to bed.

On carpet. Nothing broken. Just shaken.

MND really illustrates pride comes before a fall don't it? πŸ˜‰
Bulbar started Jan 2020. Mute and 100% tube fed but mobile and undefeated. Stay Strong πŸ€—πŸ˜˜πŸ€—πŸ˜xx

Oh Doug I hope you are ok. Falling over is really horrible. It's that dreadful feeling on the way down and then figuring out how to get back up. It really takes away any confidence you have in staying up right. Hope nothing is bruised.

Oh so sorry to hear that you fell, Doug.

Thank goodness you've a lovely neighbour to come to the rescue!

Are you up & about now? I know falls hurt our confidence almost as much as hurt us physically. As Barry said, take it easy today (and he should know 🀣)

Big hug to you, smoochies too.

            Love Ellie.

Thank you for all your good wishes folks - and the smoochies Ellie, x

I'm resting in bed at the moment. Social services promise delivery of a modified wheeled shower chair later today. It should fit over the loo

I take the view that falls are - or were - the price I had to pay for some mobility. But how I sympathise - such an experience is truly shaking. I fall less now because I barely move (still get stuck though). But the worst weren't the trips or the balance ones but those where the leg just went under me. So I hope your confidence returns. What a lot we have to endure.

Here it is. Supplied in 7 hours.

I can be used as a commode.

Kate - thank you. I know what you mean. I think that's what happened this morning.
