Thanks for your reply Ellie 😊. I’ll get some gel from the pharmacy and see how it works. I appreciate your advice. xx
Matthew, the symptoms are white coated tongue 👅 which feels sore/burning....... not very pretty 🥴 x

Having a lack of saliva is a risk factor in developing oral thrush, Lizzie, which isn't great for us 😕
If it's mild enough, you can ask the pharmacist for a gel which works well - if it's a bad case of thrush, you might need stronger antifungal medicines (rinse or tabs) Since I started taking half an effervescent vitamin C tab on my tongue daily, I haven't had thrush - not everyone can manage this though...
I wear a mouthguard at night to stop me taking chunks out of my inner cheeks and lips! It also cushions my teeth in those jaw clenching episodes. (My dentist made it) I don't know how comfortable the DIY moulded guards would be to wear all night.
There are gels and melts you can get to treat dry mouth (Biotin and Xylimelts for example)
Love Ellie.

Oral problems !!
As someone with Bulbar onset, I share with others on the forum, problems with dry mouth and biting at night, and over salivation in the daytime. The latest addition to these annoyances is oral thrush. Is this something other bulbar friends suffer from, or is it just me?😏 Can anyone suggest the best way to treat it ? Love to all.
