Do you know which mouthguard to buy to protect from biting my cheek at night. I know Ellie has mentioned this in some posts

Kevin, my dentist made mine. It's a light silcone, so really comfortable to wear at night and, because it's small, I can close my mouth (a bonus with my NIV mask!) I did need to have a mould taken, meaning a mouth full of that blue moulding stuff, but it was quick and doable. The mouthguard was ready in 30mins, I got the mould to take home to have should I need a new one in the future. I paid the equivalent of about £40 for the process - replacements are cheaper as I have the mould. I have the mouthguard 3yrs now and it's still going strong (cleaned daily!)

I had tried one of those 'boil and bite' mouthguards but found it too big and bulky, and rather uncomfortable. It might be worth trying one for starters - most sports shops have them. My kids use Shock Doctor for their school sports, but only wear them for a few hours and not overnight.

Hi Kevin. I bought one online called Bruxadent dental guard. You heat it in hot water then mould it to your teeth before cooling. It remains in the shape of your teeth. It worked quite well. Eventually I had a visit to my dentist and she made a new one for me, which really helps. Lizzie x
