Oh Janette, you poor thing - must have been especially frightening, given that stairs were involved 😮

Falls just seem to come from nowhere, even when we're being careful. If you think some (dreaded) mobility aids will keep you safer, do ask your OT.

I know none of us want such things, but a bad fall could lay up a person for weeks and weaken muscles even more.

Big hug to you (avoiding your bruises!)

      Love Ellie.

Oh Jeanette take it steady. Hope the bruises heal quickly. Take your mind off the pain by having a go at the quiz. 😉

Hi Mary, I was just about to come downstairs and my footing didn’t feel right so just moved back to start again and lost my balance and fell backwards it could of been a lot worse, it is scary, hubby has just given my shoulder a rub down as it’s got worse as the days gone on thank you x

Oh no Janette, that sounds awful and so scary.

Its horrible when there's no warning and nothing you can do. Hope you feel better soon and your shoulder heals quickly.

It might be worth contacting your OT to see what they suggest to help while you are waiting for adaptions. I'm speaking as one who ignored advice and broke my leg falling. Its such a fine line between staying safe and wanting and needing to stay mobile.

                    Love and hugs to you,
                    Debbie x

Nettie A stair lift maybe, to get as long as possible upstairs?

                        They can be rented.
