I bought one of these folding tables well before my illness, but it's turned out to be incredibly useful. I have my meals off it, use my laptop on it. It's that light I can move it around with my feet while sat down. Louise was horrified when I bought it and I had to hide it away if we had visitors. What items do you find invaluable?

I got a memory foam neck support that is perfect for placing on the arm of my sofa when lying down on it, and taking the weight of my head off my neck muscles. Incalculable. 👍😁x

Without a shadow of a doubt my most useful item is my beloved Tobii 4C eye tracker. It cost me £129 and allows me live (and do the weekly Tesco shop 😁)

Gary have you got a riser reclining chair? I am being considered for one, and I was wondering what I could put the computer on. The Parker Knoll I sit on doesn't allow table legs to go under. Whilst I can still walk a bit, though breathless and slow, I was thinking today how wonderful are the elastic laces for my walking boots. Also, just appreciating the apple peeler/corer and slicer I have just bought, as I can't find frozen apple to make my favourite stewed blackberry and apple !

Not yet, Heather. I might need one soon, but when the OT came the other day she didn't suggest one and I didn't ask about one. They seem to wait until you really need something before providing it. I suppose it maximises use of resources. We could buy one, but then Louise is stuck with a non-matching chair in the lounge. Mind you they are providing a wheeled commode, a memory foam cushion and a Neater Drinker cup to try. I thought elastic laces were brilliant for about a year. Now Louise puts my shoes on, laces are easier.

Heather we got provided with one similar to this. I can’t remember if it was OT or ACT. It was wide enough to fit over the riser recliner and height adjustable. Have a word with your OT. Sorry Heather file size is stopping me adding photo again.

Talking of riser recliners. I still have Ann’s. It is Red leather,. As with most chairs it was made to measure and Ann was petite. If anyone is interested in having it for nowt please PM me. I will say that I moved it at the start of lockdown and unfortunately because it’s very heavy and I did it on my own some bearings have come out. The company have agreed to take it and completely fix it under the guarantee. Unfortunately they will not collect until after lockdown.

Ellie I am with you. My eye gaze is my life line. I can talk to everyone do all the shopping ,run the household , and organise my life and my family. I would be lost without it. x
