I can imagine our android uses Grid software and you are quite restricted by the apps that you can use. May be worth shot. Tis a pity its not uk based though.

Phew! Pretty expensive, Sarah, especially if you also need to buy the 12.9 iPad.

Check out the 'ALS Tech' channel on YouTube, he has 2 video reviews on the Skyler x

                Hi Sarah,

I have a banking app set up on my iPad. It is based on finger print recognition so I only need a few key depressions to make transactions.
I’m going to do this even if it kills me!

slp Is the Grid software still that restrictive 😮 That's why I didn't like it, but that was some years ago now, so I had hoped it had moved on. Did you contact Smartbox to ask if it's possible to add apps? (I do my banking online)

Do you still have an iPad and, if you do, does it have a True Depth camera and a head tracking option in the accessibility settings? If so, you could play with it to see its capabilities - I believe it's fairly limited but I have never tried it.

It's a shame you couldn't test drive one. It's worth contacting your AT team and telling them about the product and saying you'd happily test one,, or contact eyeV (the company behind Skyle) directly, after all, I'm sure they are anxious to get market share from dominant Tobii!

                  Good luck. xx

I only need a card reader for certain transactions/over a certain amount, so I can manage the majority of my banking unaided.

Does your eye gaze set up allow you to do online shopping?

Yes I do everything , all the shopping and whatever I would do before really x I was using a Mac book and then an I pad but when it became too difficult I moved to the tobii eye tracker with a Microsoft surface tablet which is excellent but if there were an affordable option with an I pad I would like to try it. I have contacted the company and we will see what they say.

thanks Ellie for your input. xx

slp I’ve been looking at eye gaze technology and found Skyle today. Your post was a while ago and I wondered how you got on investigating the options. I use an iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, iMac, Apple Watch, Apple TV…and they all integrate perfectly. I’m not too keen on introducing an Microsoft tablet into the mix! Thanks 😊
