    Still here

Last Sunday night I calmly mixed crushed pills and injected them, went to bed and waited. Imagine my surprise when I woke up not in the afterlife but in Hospital. My plan failed and I spent a week there in a kind of living hell. Every meal time a torment and being excluded from the banter I felt invisible at times. I've gone off the idea now so your stuck with me I'm afraid.

Glad you are still in this world and sorry you were in so much pain that it seemed like the best option. Glad you've changed your mind. To say life's worth living sounds trite I know because it's up to the individual. But I'm sure many were checking in this forum each day with you in mind, so maybe that counts for a little x

matthew55 I am so sorry to hear this. This disease is torture and I can quite understand why you had decided you’d had enough. I’m also sad that your time in hospital was so difficult. I am pleased you’ve gone off the idea though.
            Take care Matthew

                  Hi Matthew,

I fully understand what you are going through and it highlights the need for a proper and safe way of euthanasia in the UK. Not that I wish to loose you but it proves that a diy method is totally wrong. I hope you can find something positive to live for and I look forward to seeing your comments on this forum.

                  Hugs from me
I’m going to do this even if it kills me!

It made me very sad that that you have this awful illness, that makes life so hard, and isolation that makes life so unbearable. Sending hugs x

                      Hi Matt,

This is more comebacks than Frank Sinatra! You are having all our ladies in a right tiss.

Much better to discuss the afterlife on this side. God is pretty uncompromising if you take the decision out of His hands.

Anyway, you deserve a treat from my girls...

Ah Mathew. I’m glad that you are back with us but sorry about your horrid week in hospital. I too have been checking in to see if any news from you. I didn’t come on here last night though because we were watching the snooker so I only just saw your message. Love and hugs, Lynne x

ALS diagnosed November 2017, limb onset. For the 4 yrs previously I was losing my balance.

I'm staying positive and taking each day as it comes.

Good to hear from you, but I very much agree with Barry that there should be a pain free way to go if you want to.
