Thanks Barry, yes its hard isn't it ? I'm sure your Mum is just pleased you're there with her.

I've organised hot meals and teas to be delivered to my mum every day and I'm glad to be doing something ! Of course she may not like them in which case I'm not very useful at all 🤣x

Debbie I’m pleased your blood tests were good.
As we are talking about helping our parents I stayed with mum at the weekend and the only contribution I could offer was to update her iPad and sort the settings on her tv. She can only see outline shapes and I have noticed how her hearing has deteriorated. I have booked an appointment with an audiologist and her carer is taking her this week. I feel sad that I can’t do all the practical jobs I once did for mum.

I do my mum's online grocery shopping for her, as well as clothes shopping when the stores were shut, as she's not great with online shopping, at least I can help that way. xx

I am going to focus on what I can do to help Mum and not dwell on what I can't! The funny thing is that while I was upset this morning our online food shop arrived and we later realised it wasn't our shopping at all. 🤣 The supermarket told us to keep it and they would send ours tomorrow.

Well Stuart is a happy boy ! Theres 🍰🍪🍩🍫🥧🍕🌭 and even 🍺 He deserves a treat as long as he doesn't get used to it !

I'm the same Debbie - it breaks my heart that I can't physically help my parents, who also will not even entertain getting a cleaner, let alone any other help.

Good news re no more injections. Hope your tummy has settled down by now.

My day started off a bit rubbish. Im worried about my Mum and frustrated that MND prevents me caring for her. I had an upset tummy so Stuart couldn't leave me to check on her so we had to call on other help. Shes resisting the care she needs, which is really typical of old people...I think I'd be the same.

A phone call from my GP cheered me up as blood tests show I can come off daily anti coagulation injections( I look like a pin cushion !) and go onto tablets . Yipee its amazing what we celebrate 🍾 .
