A Review of a wheelchair repair

I have not been online for a couple of weeks, so got some catching up to do.
I am fortunate to have two ladies take me out at the weekends, my wife and her sister who has a small Scottie dog who sometimes sits on my lap on the wheelchair. Whilst out walking the wheelchair took a bashing over the rough ground alongside the canal in Sheffield, the rough terrain destroyed the bearings on one of the rear wheels shortly after finishing the walk.
We took the wheelchair to a mobility shop in Hillsborough for repair as the chair was a second hand gift from a work colleague and we liked it's light weight and comfort. It came as no surprise that the shop advised that the cost would be £260 plus callout and fitting.
One click on Amazon and £80 later, two new wheels, and they fit.
    Diagnosed 2nd Jan 2020
Both arms/shoulders affected, left worse than right.
    Progressive Muscular Atrophy suspected

Good to hear you sorted the wheel issue, and for a fraction of what you were quoted too - always pays to shop around!

And your little lap-warmer 🐾, cute. xx
