Thank you for your advice and glad to see some of you are enjoying banter.

We are a bit loathe to clobber up our house with a 2nd wheelchair but will think on and follow some of your links

        Warmly

Your analysis is insightful as ever โ€“ especially given my wife who is my most constant carer has a bad back. We tried to push wheelchair at some gardens locally here a couple of weekends ago with my daughter pushing and she says it gave her real upper body workout!

Part of our trouble is transport, both lifting a wheelchair or other device into our car, even if it will fit at all

It may be time to invest in a WAV โ€“ shame I'm too old for motability leasing

We had a manual wheelchair for a while and all I did was lift it in and out of the car and garage. He wouldn't sit in it. I didn't think there was an age limit on motability? Though I'm dizzy with info, telephone numbers and services. I'm keen to buy a car but I'm thinking one to store an unused wheelchair or get a wav and wheel him in. To be honest I don't know what is worse having no help and no back up or having so much information I just want to cry. Anyone says 'and how are you coping' ๐Ÿ˜ซ . I phoned a number this morning hoping she'd tell me why I called. I'm in a bad way ๐Ÿฅบ

I sat down and didn't want to get up.

I think I could do trampolining. In my head anyway ๐Ÿ™„

                  Hi Denise,
its good you've got support for you and Stephen at last. However too much advice can be totally overwhelming. If you can, just deal with one thing ar a time. You've had so much upheaval you need time to rest and recharge..

You also need time to perfect your pole ๐Ÿ’ƒ dancing ๐Ÿ˜€

                  Love Debbie x

Don't know what poles you think Denise dances around, Debbie, but I don't think she wears long frocks like that ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜˜

We might win gold for something. Yeah.

Have to find somewhere else to live. Need to get a car. Yesterday I walked to the local shop and felt like I couldn't walk. It was a very strange feeling.

I'm sure it will all sort it's self out. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

You've a lot on your plate denise This works for me - make a list, almost like a spreadsheet, keep tracks on where you're at with each task.

Andy and Denise there are plenty of used WAVs on sale. It obviously depends whatโ€™s available in your area but a bit of research is the way to go. Good luck, Lynne x

I'm staying positive and taking each day as it comes.
