In extra care sheltered schemes they often use their own agency for carers....usually works well as they can offer support as and when needed 24/7 (That's the area I live in anyway)

In my experience, that's par for the course - most carers try their best, office staff haven't a scooby what it's like on the ground. The 2 managers I deal with in my current care agency are both ex-carers, and it shows in how client centred they are, unlike any previous company I've used.

If you're shopping around, maybe wait until you move in case that makes a difference and/or consider employing your own PAs, if you can get funding, (as per JamesW 's thread) ? xx

    Care agencies

I have become disillusioned with the management of my current care agency. The workers are great make no mistake, but their office is a branch of the Fourth Reich. 😉 I am looking for a replacement, like my own personal D Day. 😁🤣😄😬😂xx
