When I yawn my jaw works as normal but when I'm sucking or stuffing tissues in my jaw locks and leaves about two inches for me to use. I'm used to psychosomatic throat issues so do you think this is the same thing? ๐xx

I don't think it's psychosomatic.
My thinking is: yawning is a reflex action, over which you have minimal control and using various muscles, including the diaphragm. Your tissue example of muscle use is using localised muscles to carry out a specific task and those muscles find that task challenging. ๐
