    Hi Cath and all,

Thanks for the useful tip about the Tramper hire. I had not heard about them before. It looks like they are much more substantial than the average mobility scooter and so especially great for using in the countryside.

I have provided a link to info about the Tramper at Malham, you mentioned:-

    http://https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/malham-tarn-estate/features/malham-tarn-tramper

They can also be hired at other locations (as listed on the Tramper website):-

    Best wishes

Hi Lynn, I'm certain you can hires tramper at Malham. Not sure whether this is possible on Sundays though. I used one at Coniston at the lake district and it was great fun. Been meaning to go to Malham to use the one there. Google tramper hire at Malham.

Thanks Shrew. My husband and his son have decided to go to Malham after all tomorrow. We've been to Skipton lots of times and when I was more mobile wandered all around it, including the castle. Its close enough for us to nip up midday for a light lunch or bag of chips. Lynne

My Brother who has downs syndrome loves skipton so I've always took him, usually saturday. More recently me and Mick have gone on a sunday and met some friends from his bike group, one couple live in Steeton, one Bradford way and we meet and have a cheap and cheerful lunch in the wetherspoons. Have a nice time Lynne

We've been to Skipton lots of times Kayleigh. It's only about an hours drive from us or on a good day less. We've explored around when I was more mobile. Lynne

I've never been to Skipton, but it looks like a very picturesque and interesting place to visit:-
