    Sheets for hospital bed

Hi everyone, I have a hospital bed arriving next week and am trying to find sheets to fit as the size is non-standard, 198cm x 88cm x 15cm. Does anyone have a suggestion where I could purchase sheets that are suitable? Preferably fitted sheet. Thanks.

Thanks Sue. I got the mattress dimensions form the supplier and the bed is too long for regular single sheet it would seem....

Well thats interesting! - my husband is more than 6ft tall and I said the bed was too short as his feet touch the bottom board - I was told there was no bigger beds!

As someone who is over 6ft I have always had my feet sticking out at the end of my bed. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ˜xx

Hi Sue, The mattress that I'm getting is 198 cm long which is 6ft 6in. I think that is the standard for hospital beds. That doesn't leave much, if any, spare room for someone over 6ft tall. That sounds ridiculous as there must be many people over 6ft these days. However on this page:
hotel towels, wholesale bed linens, bulk towels, healthcare linens, hospital bed sheets, wholesale hotel sheets, wholesale towels, wholesale aprons, bulk towels, bulk hotel sheets, wholesale hotel towels, hotel towels bulk, wholesale scrubs, wholesale hospital bedding, wholesale blankets, wholesale table cloths,

there seem to be a number of alternative fitted sheet sizes!

Rosemary6NT That's a normal length mattress - mine is 200cm long - and standard flat sheets fit it no problem. At 15cm depth, I should think most fitted sheets would also fit.

Did they say which mattress type it is? xx

                Re Longer Length Beds:

Many hospital type beds can extend in length for taller people.

Suefromwakey matthew55 Check the bed frame near the foot of the bed - are there knobs which turn and loosen, so the bed extends? Then you can get a covered foam block for the gap between mattress and bed frame, if necessary with a pressure relief cover. xx

I hope to give up with my air mattress because of the noisy pump. β›½πŸŽˆπŸ˜‚πŸ˜xx

I believe it is a foam pressure relieving mattress, not one with a pump. I've found a fitted sheet with the correct dimensions now so we'll see how that goes!

                      Hope it's comfy.

As well as the new sheets, treat yourself to a nice duvet cover or blanket, if you can - it's not every day we take the arrival of a hospital bed! 😚😚

Thanks Ellie , I have treated myself to two new pillow slips and an experimental gizmo that I may describe later if successful

I am going to get a hospital bed any day now, never occurred to me about sheets fitting. I am loathe to give up my nice comfortable double bed, and am thinking of hanging on to it until I have tried the hospital bed, to see if I can stand changing (though I can see the advantage of rising up). Hope you're happy with yours Rosemary (we can compare notes!) xx
