Back scratching

How do others deal with scratching their backs. As anyone got any ideas. I can’t get to itches on my back as my arms can’t reach or I don’t have the strength. I do get my hubby to scratch my back but I can’t keep asking him. A lot of the time I just have to grin and bare it. I look forward to your ideas.

How do others deal with scratching their backs.

I rope in 'volunteers', some more willing than others it must be said 😉, to scratch various different body parts, but most of all I try to avoid getting itchy skin in the first place by using moisturising body cream daily - by that I mean my carers apply cream to my legs, tummy and back after my shower.

If I feel itchy before bed, I have my husband give the area a good scratch before he applies some cream (which he does with the finesse of a plasterer troweling a wall 🙄 but beggars can't be choosers...😏) I keep well hydrated too.

Madge, it's not a lot to ask of your hubby in the grand scheme of things but maybe a body cream will lessen the itching episodes? xx

Nothing special for daily use, Tesco own brand 😏 I'll probably get a posh one as a Christmas pressie from one of my pals 👍👍

It doesn’t help that I have dry skin generally but you can’t go wrong with a posh cream x

Madge If your skin is dry Madge, use E45, or similar, until it recovers, then you can move to a 'normal' one for maintenance.

And the posh ones tend to smell fab! xx
